How important Is DNA testing?

In my opinion DNA testing is very important. Unfortunately, some of us men get caught up in our emotions and forget the fact that child support and family court is a business. Once you sign your name on any paper establishing paternity, you are responsible. I believe in establishing paternity soon as possible so it’s one less worry. You can establish paternity while the child’s mother is pregnant. This procedure is known as Non-Invasive Parental Paternity. This is done by getting a blood sample from you and the mother of the child. The other option and the most common, is the mouth swab DNA test.

These tests can be done through the hospital, The District Attorney Family Support Division, and filing a Complaint to Establish Paternity through Family Court. Mouth swab test can be purchased at many of the local chain stores. Have you ever heard the term “Mommas baby, daddy maybe” What do you do if you’re proven not to be the father?
